Delete your account

You can delete your The Scaffold Software login and the data we hold about you at any time. There are two ways: from inside the app, or by asking us on this page if you no longer have the app or cannot sign in. Either way the deletion is free and we confirm it by email.

Delete from inside the app

Site app (you pick your name and type a passcode): open the app, tap Profile at the bottom, scroll down and tap Delete my account, then type DELETE and your passcode to confirm. Your login is deleted straight away.

Office login (email and password): sign in, open Settings, and under Account choose Delete my account, then type DELETE and your password to confirm. If you are the only owner of your company's account we cannot delete your login automatically, because the company's data would be left without an owner; your request is logged instead and we contact you to complete it.

Client portal: use the form below, or email us. Portal logins are set up by the scaffolding company you deal with, so we also let them know.

Ask us to delete it

If you have uninstalled the app, forgotten your login, or would rather we did it, fill in the form below or email info@thescaffoldsoftware.co.uk with the subject “Delete my account”. We will check it is you, delete the account, and confirm by email within 30 days.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted: your login and password, your display name and notification preferences, the record of which phones and browsers receive your notifications, and your membership of any company account. A deleted login cannot be recovered.

Kept by your employer or the company you work with: The Scaffold Software is used by scaffolding companies to run their business. Records you created or signed while working for one of them, such as timesheets, clock-in times, inspection reports, handover certificates, RAMS sign-ons, training and PPE records, belong to that company. It is the data controller for them and has legal duties to keep some of them (for example health and safety records and payroll). Deleting your login does not delete those records. To have your personal details removed from them, ask your employer; we act on their instruction as their processor.

Kept by us for a limited time: invoices and billing records where the law requires it (six years for UK tax records). Deleted data also drops out of our backups on their normal cycle: database backups are kept for 7 days and file backups for 90 days.
