The whiteboard, retired

Capacity you can see before you commit
The capacity row across the top of the board shows workforce total, absences, utilised and available for every day, with total hours underneath. Over-booked Thursdays and half-empty Tuesdays show up while you are planning, when they are still cheap to fix.
Booking a job on a day is one modal with every flag in it: crew, vehicle, RAMS required, handover required, licence checks, each raising its own task so nothing is discovered missing at 7am on site.

The schedule lands on the lads' phones
The week the office writes is the week the gangs see. Each scaffolder's phone shows the day's job with its job sheet and details, the RAMS to read and sign before tools come out, and the inspections and handovers to complete, with photos and progress flowing back to the office as the day runs.
No screenshots of a whiteboard on the group chat, and no ringing round the vans to find out who is where.

Hours banked by the end of the day, wages by Monday
Confirming the day banks the hours against the job and the person. Wages read straight off the confirmed schedule, so the Monday morning payroll run is reading a screen, not chasing texts, and the same hours feed profitability per job.
Extra hours can raise a day-works variation order automatically, priced at your rates and ready to sign, and the board prompts you to fill any that are missing.

Scheduling that talks to the rest of the job
Because the schedule lives in the same system as everything else, an inspection day comes from the statutory inspection cycle, a strike day feeds the off-hire and the final invoice, and a variation day ends up on the next payment claim. The board is not a picture of the week, it is the week, wired into the job records.
