Handover certificates that start the clock
When the scaffold is up, the handover certificate is signed by both parties on site and emailed to the client before the van leaves. That signature does real work: it starts the hire clock and the statutory inspection cycle for the scaffold.
Adaptions and variations are recorded against the same job, so the compliance story stays complete from first lift to dismantle.

The 7-day inspections, handled
Statutory weekly inspections schedule themselves from handover, per scaffold, with no spreadsheet to maintain. Inspectors work through the checks on their phones, pass, fail or N/A, attach photos, sign on screen, and the report files itself.
Because inspections live in the same system as your payment claims, inspection visits can be claimed by quantity at your per-visit rate, so the compliance work gets billed instead of given away.

Part of the system that runs the whole job
Standalone RAMS generators produce a document and stop. Here the RAMS is one thread of the job record: the schedule flags which days need RAMS and handovers before you commit the gang, the site app collects the signatures, and the compliance file builds itself as the job runs.

How does RAMS creation work?
RAMS are created against the project on its Compliance tab, site-specific with the job's details, using RAMS Pro's site-specific risk register. Send them to the client for e-signature, and the gang reads and signs the same RAMS on their phones on site. Signed copies file themselves back against the project. Enterprise plans can have fully bespoke RAMS and inspection templates built to match the paperwork you already use.
Do the lads actually sign the RAMS on site?
Yes, on their phones, before tools come out. The job on the mobile app carries the RAMS the office wrote. Each scaffolder reads it and signs on the screen, and the signed record is stored against the project with names and timestamps, so "did everyone sign on?" has an answer you can show.
What else lives alongside the RAMS?
The whole compliance file for the job: handover certificates signed by both parties on site, statutory weekly inspection reports with photos, rescue plans, variation orders and anchor test records, all on one Compliance tab per project with signed status and a full send history. Documents can also be shared as token links, so the client reads them without needing a login.
Does it schedule the statutory inspections too?
Yes. The handover certificate starts the inspection clock, and the 7-day statutory cycle schedules itself per scaffold, appearing on the office schedule and on the inspector's phone. Pass, fail or N/A per item, photos attached, signed on screen, filed automatically.
What do we show the principal contractor or the HSE?
The file already exists: signed RAMS with sign-on records, handover certificates, every inspection report with photos and timestamps, stored per scaffold and per project. When a PC or the HSE asks, the answer is an email attachment, not a search through the van.
